Dougal is deep in thought … when this happens do not disturb him as he will lose his train of thought at the drop of a hat and it can be days before he finds it again… 
Dougal is a substantial size and able to give big soft bear hugs whenever needed.
Dougal is handmade by me from a beautifully soft antique style autumn gold Steiff Schulte mohair.  He is fully jointed with black English glass eyes.  He is filled with some steel shot for a generous weight, pellets for texture and loosely stuffed poly cotton fibrefil for soft squishy huggability.   He wears a handknitted waistcoat for warmth.  He stands at a whisker over 15 inches, though with unstable knees he cannot stand unaided.
